Personalized Private Training
Have a problem to fix? It's probably not what you think. Your dog isn't listening to you, not because it doesn't care, you don't understand each other! It's easy to miscommunicate when you speak different languages.
Don't worry, you're not alone. We humans cannot inherently read a dog's body language and we don't inherently know how to lead our pack. We acquire our pups for companionship and it can easily become frustrating if you consistently misunderstand each other.
Most dog trainers in the industry focus on simply teaching your dog basic commands and correcting unwanted behavior. This is not my focal point.
I focus on teaching you a bit about dog psychology and body language so you can first understand what your dog is communicating to you and others in the form of its actions. I work with you to understand these unwanted behaviors and their tell tale signs, and then I teach you how to effectively communicate back to your dog.
I spill the secrets of the industry and give you the tools, techniques, guidance, and support to communicate with your dog which, in turn, fixes much more than the problem you sought out to fix. Even better, it builds your relationship with your dog and you'll start to see your frustration disappear and your bond flourish.
The knowledge I share with you is based on a lifetime of studying dog behavior, dog language, breed-specific nuances, social interactions, and nearly a decade of experience training dogs. My passion lies in sharing this knowledge to allow dog owners and their families the freedom and empowerment that comes with understanding dogs and communicating effectively with their own. Watching a relationship grow because a dog and their parents understand and respect each other is the best perk of the job.
My style is hardware-agnostic and fear-free. During your session, I may recommend hardware (particular leash styles or collar styles) to best aid our work, however, we place more importance on understanding your dog's cues, your dog understanding your commands, how to properly correct and modify behaviors, and how to effectively use treats as a motivator.
All sessions are private and scheduled on an as-needed basis. No commitments, no contracts, no class schedules. Reach out today so we can get started!
