Play Coach
Our coaches are the key to a safe and comfortable space for all dogs and their families.
Our job is to demonstrate and promote how The Indoor Dog Park solves a key day-to-day need in the community - providing a safe, clean, comfortable, and fun place to play with your dog. We approach business in a nimble and agile way - changing the game for dogs and their parents, making safety our top priority, and letting our state-of-the-art facilities, amenities, and technology speak for itself.
As a Play Coach, you are responsible for key activities that make The Indoor Dog Park a safe staple in the community. From monitoring and maintaining safe play to ensuring a clean and presentable facility, you are the lynchpin keeping the Park running smoothly.
Our team of Coaches and Trainers are backed by an Expert Trainer that acts as your mentor and advisor. You’re never alone and always working as a team.
Key Responsibilities

Be the face of The Indoor Dog Park for all members/clients

Ensure The Indoor Dog Park values and policies are upheld by all members

Assist new and existing members with clean up and monitoring to ensure safe play

Educate and coach members on acceptable play and dog behavior

Intervene and redirect or remove any dogs that present risk to the Park

Ensure the facility is clean, stocked appropriately, and is in good working order

Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of special events, as needed
Job Qualifications

Must love dogs!

Demonstrates comfort with dogs: Hands-on experience in a setting managing multiple dogs at one time

Experienced ability to read, understand, interpret, and translate dog language and behavior

Excellent communication skills and the ability to positively and professionally handle difficult situations

Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift

Proficient use and access to a mobile device for team messaging (Slack App)

Reliably commute to or plan to relocate near Cranberry Township before start date

At least 18 years or older

The Indoor Dog Park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, including holidays

An appropriate work-life balance is important to us. This position allows for flexible hours and schedules. You have the freedom to schedule 1-7 shifts per week. A set schedule will be determined with the appropriate candidate prior to execution of the employment agreement. In addition to the agreed-upon schedule, extended hours and weekend options may be available from time to time but are not required.
